An accountant who actually listens

Paul founded Reed & Co. Accountants in 2018 with a clear purpose: to provide Bristol’s small businesses and individuals with the kind of high-quality, personalised accounting service that was previously only available to larger companies with bigger budgets.

Having worked in accounting for several years before founding the practice, Paul recognised that many clients felt underserved — passed between staff members, receiving generic advice and never quite sure who to call when they had a question. Reed & Co. was built to be the opposite of that.

“I started Reed & Co. because I believed small businesses in Bristol deserved better. Not just technically accurate accounts, but a genuine relationship with someone who understands their business and is invested in their success.”

Today, the practice serves over 200 clients across Bristol and the South West, covering everything from sole trader accounts and personal tax returns to limited company compliance, payroll, bookkeeping and preparation for Making Tax Digital.

Outside of work, Paul is passionate about the Bristol business community and regularly contributes articles on accounting, tax and financial management for small business owners.
